Ukraine's parliament has voted for laws to stop the production and trafficking in fake drugs.  Not only will these new laws help to protect their own citizens, but also people all over the world.  They have voted to add an article to their criminal code entitled " Medicine counterfeiting, or the trafficking of counterfeit medicine."  Having anything to do with fake pharmaceutical products will attract large fines, confiscations of raw materials and production equipment and prison sentences from three to ten years, depending on the severity of the offence.  This includes criminal liability for death caused by fake medicines.  Ukraine has been one of the top offenders for fakes and this legislation will make the world a safer place.  It reduces the access for criminals to fakes of erectile dysfunction drugs Viagra, Cialis and Levitra as well as many other prescription medicines.
