The MEDI-FAKE action taken recently in The EU has been a tremendous success. 34 million fake tablets were seized revealing that there is a serious problem that needs continuous action to reduce the volume of criminal activity in the market. Sizeable hauls were made in Belgium, France, UK and Spain. Co-operation between member states and legitimate business will be vital to continue the success. Activity similar to MEDI-FAKE will go on in all member states.
Anyone ordering medicines from web sites outside of the EU, such as Viagra, Cialis, Levitra, Reductil and Xenical is warned that they are more likely to be seized by customs, with a consequent complete loss without compensation if there is anything amiss, such as no prescription from a EU registered doctor, or if they are fake or unapproved generics.
