Apricus Biosciences have received Canadian approval for their new topical impotence product- Vitaros. Vitaros is a topical application cream and is reported to be safe for those who cannot take the popular oral drugs: Viagra, Cialis and Levitra or who find these drugs do not work for them.
Vitaros is a development of Alprostadil, currently available in the UK as the drug Muse, which is used as a urethra inserted pellet or a penis injected drug. These application methods are unpopular with many people and, consequently, the oral drugs Viagra, Cialis and Levitra dominate the UK market for impotence products.
Apricus Biosciences have also licensed Elis Pharma to distribute Vitaros in The Gulf and part of the Middle East; approval to market in Elis territory will be sought early in 2011. They also intend to establish partner agreements in over 100 countries world wide. An agreement to market in Italy was recently announced so it is just a matter of time before approval for the EU is sought.
As soon as the product is legally available in the UK, Clinic Europe will offer it. Its usage as an easily applied cream, that reportedly works faster than many of the oral products and has lesser side effects, should make it popular, if the price is competitive. Clinic Europe will keep this news item up to date. |
