The South Central Priorities Committee, which covers health trusts in Milton Keynes, Oxfordshire, Berkshire East and West and Buckinghamshire, is urging doctors to limit prescribing of Viagra, Cialis and Levitra erectile dysfunction drugs, to a maximum two per month. This only applies to the people seriously ill enough to qualify for an NHS prescription. Everyone else has to pay for a private prescription. Existing NHS guidance does not suggest any limit. The South Central Priorities Committee also suggest that sexual problem counselling is not a cost effective option. This committee cannot prohibit prescribing but their recommendation to GPs may mean that men living in this area with serious health issues may have to suffer their problem and the anguish it causes or go privately. Clinic Europe is ready to help those in this area who need it and can go private.
